1. Measure and Cut
Measure the length of the pipe and cut to the required sizeusing, a hacksaw, or an angle grinder. Make sure the cut is straight and cleanto ensure a tight fit with adjoining sections.
2. Seal the Male End
Apply a suitable duct sealant around the male end of thespiral pipe. This is the end designed to slide into the next section.
3. Insert the Male Connector
Slide the male connector (or "spigot”) into the pipe. Thisensures a tight, streamlined transition between duct sections.
4. Secure the Connection
Use self-tapping screws to fix the duct sections to theconnector. Space the screws evenly around the circumference. After screwing, wrap the joint with qualityduct tape (e.g., aluminium foil tape) to further seal the connection and reduceair leakage.
5. Inspect for Leaks
Once all joints are sealed, check the entire duct run forair leaks or loose fittings
